U.S. Sen. Tammy Baldwin will visit the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh on Tuesday, following a trip to Appleton.
Baldwin will tour the UWO Student Success Center, starting at 1:30 p.m. She will then join university leaders and partners at the site of the redeveloping Oshkosh Premier Waterfront Hotel and Convention Center.
The tour stops demonstrate “the state’s third-largest institution’s commitments to preparing career-ready students and strengthening Wisconsin’s workforce and economy,” according to a news release.
Baldwin serves on the Senate Committee on Health, Education, Labor and Pensions (HELP), the Senate Budget Committee and the Committee on Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs. She also serves on the Senate Special Committee on Aging.
Before her visit to the UWO campus, Baldwin will tour Pierce Manufacturing in Appleton. Pierce Manufacturing, an Oshkosh Corporation company, manufactures fire and emergency vehicles, and is celebrating its 100th anniversary this year.
