Scott Walker arrives at AirVenture Tuesday afternoon

Gov. Scott Walker is no stranger to AirVenture.

Even before he was governor, Walker used to attend the world’s greatest aviation celebration. And in his second year as governor, Walker will return to AirVenture for the second straight year at 12:45 p.m. Tuesday.

Walker will visit several locations on the AirVenture grounds as part of a whirlwind tour that will finish with a speech from the air show announcers stand before he departs.

According to a press release, Walker will tour the EAA Innovations Center to look at new aviation technologies, the Federal Pavilion to visit with members of the Wisconsin Air National Guard, Phillips 66 Plaza for a visit with more members of the Wisconsin Air National Guard and the EAA Communications Center.

The press release projects Walker’s visit to AirVenture will take about an hour before he delivers remarks just before the air show preambles begin.

Credentialed members of the media are invited to attend.
