Gov. Scott Walker will visit Fox Valley Technical College’s Advanced Manufacturing Technology Center Tuesday afternoon to get a first-hand look at one of the college’s newest welding programs: robotic welding.
Walker will tour FVTC’s manufacturing technology center and meet with technical college officials from 2:30 to 3:30 p.m. Tuesday. FVTC launched a robotic welding course this semester that all welders must take before they graduate. The course teaches students how to operate a variety of different robotic welders that manufacturers throughout Northeast Wisconsin use on a daily basis.
