I have a scrapbook night scheduled with friends on Friday, and I’m so looking forward to it.
They just don’t happen regularly enough. It’s hard to coordinate a night that works for everyone plus there just aren’t that many open evenings to pick from.
But, as the saying goes, distance makes the heart grow fonder. Since it has been a few months since we last got together, I’m appreciating our outing that much more.
We have been going to Archiver’s for a couple of years now, getting a full six hours of uninterrupted time in one shot. The night goes by in a flash, but we always can count on it being fun. Plus, the supplies are all there!
Besides getting our pages down, it’s a great time for the moms to hang out together, share stories and laughs. It’s also a reminder that our time together and our hobbies are important, too.
I’m hoping we’ll be able to expand on our scrapbook nights in the next year or two by making it a full weekend spent at a cabin, a house or a hotel.
But I’ll take my occasional Friday night scrapbook nights until then.
