There are no dry eyes on Tuesday nights.
I always can count on “Parenthood” on NBC for a tear or two and an emotionally satisfying hour.
Last night was no different as the finale of its fourth season aired. Hank left for Minnesota, Sarah is single again, Crosby made amends with his mother-in-law and found out he would be a dad again, Victor is an official member of the family, Kristina is cancer free, Drew got into Berkeley, Amber got back together with Ryan and Adam got his wife back.
But the show’s finale never seems to be without drama off the screen. This year once again there is talk about how this might have been the series finale if it doesn’t get picked up next year.
The tightly wrapped ending would leave viewers satisfied — but so very sad — if that were the case. The Braverman clan makes for great TV. I hope this all-American family, their real-life storylines of illness, young love and heartbreak are must-see TV.
And they’ve definitely earned another year on television. Here’s hoping!
