Grace is in a hurry to grow up.
I was like that, too, as a child. You couldn’t wait for the next big thing.
As a nearly 10-year-old, she’s also at that age of change. She started shaving her legs this year and recently started wearing deodrant. It’s big stuff and the stuff of frequent conversations.
On a recent weekday morning, I was greeting the sitter as Grace was coming down the stairs.
“I have to put deodrant on, and I’ll be right down,” Grace said. “I’m becoming a woman.”
