I’m getting close to achieving my shopping goal of trying to get all of it done in November so I can spend December doing more festive and seasonal activities that ring more true to the reason for the season than shopping and spending.
In a fit of organization yesterday while the kids were reading and Gary and Ben were at basketball practice, I locked myself in my bedroom and pulled out everything I have purchased so far and have just thrown in my closet to hide.
I took it all out, sorted it by person and put it into organized bags so I know what I have and for whom. I also updated my shopping list so I know what I have to get yet. I also need to come up with an idea or two for the kids.
With a planned trip on Saturday to the Holiday Market at the American Club in Kohler, I should be able to find the fun gifts I need for my cousin and sister. And I hopefully should be able to finish it all off on Black Friday.
Let the wrapping begin!
