Resident files for Appleton Council

Kyle Lobner, 29, announced Wednesday he plans to run for a seat on the Common Council this spring to represent the city’s northeast side.

Lobner is the managing editor of Brew Crew Ball, a website that gathers news about the Milwaukee Brewers.

The 13th District seat is currently held by longtime Alderman Jim Clemons. It includes the city’s 37th, 38th, 39th, 40th, 41st and 58th wards.

Lobner has until Jan. 2 to gather the 20 signatures necessary to get on the ballot. If needed, a primary is scheduled for Feb. 19, before the election Apr. 2.

Lobner has a campaign blog at appleton13.blogspot.com and Twitter account @appletonCC13.
