Registration open for community theater program’s Winter Academy

Jubricosa, a program with a mission to teach youth self-confidence and responsibility through the performing arts, now is registering students ages 7-12 and 13-18 for its Winter Academy.

Each class includes both a curriculum-based workshop that teaches theater basics and advanced theatrical techniques, and time for rehearsal for the musical revue, “A Disney Jubilation/Les Miserables in Concert.” The students ages 7-12 perform Disney classics and the students ages 13-18 perform a concert version of the musical “Les Miserables.”

Classes start Jan. 15. The younger group meets from 6 to 7:45 p.m. Tuesdays and the older group meets from 6 to 8:30 p.m. Tuesdays. Both groups also meet from 9 a.m. to noon Saturdays.

The classes and the Feb. 21-23 performances take place at Oshkosh Christian School, 3450 Vinland St., Oshkosh.

Cost to register is $125. Class sizes are limited.
