NEW World Cinema changes October film offering

There’s been a change in NEW World Cinema’s fall lineup of films.

The series will screen the South Korean film “The Way Home” this coming Sunday and Monday in place of the French film “Tatie Danielle.” “The Way Home” was moved up from November on NEW World Cinema’s calendar.

Showings of “The Way Home” start at 2 p.m. Sunday and 7 p.m. Monday in Lecture Hall 1338 at the University of Wisconsin-Fox Valley, 1478 Midway Road, Menasha.

Admission costs $5. A facilitated discussion follows each film showing.

The film has English subtitles. It’s rated PG. The story: A young boy spends time with his grandmother, who is in poor health. Although he is in conflict with her old-fashioned ways and traditions, he learns to embrace empathy, humility and the importance of family.
