The Makaroff Youth Ballet on Saturday offers a free 45-minute community presentation of excerpts from its upcoming production of “The Nutcracker Ballet.”
The presentation starts at 11 a.m. at the Appleton Public Library, 225 N. Oneida Street, Appleton.
It includes dancing, storytelling, discussion, and a free drawing for two tickets to “The Nutcracker Ballet.”
The ballet company is collaborating with the Fox Cities Performing Arts Center, the Fox Valley Symphony and the White Heron Chorale to present “The Nutcracker Ballet” in celebration of the PAC’s tenth anniversary season.
Performances take place at 7:30 p.m. Dec. 8 and at 1 p.m. Dec. 9 at the PAC in downtown Appleton.
The Makaroff Youth Ballet’s mission is to share the art of ballet with the Fox Cities community and to provide dancers with pre-professional performance opportunities. The ballet company is online at www.makaroffyouthballet.org.
