Main Street Art Works exhibits feature sculptures, self-portraits

Main Street Art Works recently reopened to the public at its location at 627 W. Main St., Hilbert.

An exhibit on display, called “Bonds Made of Iron,” showcases cast metal sculptures of bronze, aluminum and iron.

Teresa Lind curated the exhibit, which included works by artists from around the nation who pour hot metal. The show runs through the end of April.

The art exhibit “Three-Way Mirror” opens with a reception Saturday. The show of self-portraits presents work by Main Street Art Works members Lind, Scott Edwards, Pat Filzen, Tina Siebers, Mary O’Leary and Bonnie de Arteaga.

Gallery hours are 1 to 6 p.m. Fridays and 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturdays. Visitors also are welcome at other times by appointment or if the gallery is open.
