Fox Valley reggae outfit Unity the Band will host a music video shoot at Chadwick’s in downtown Appleton this Friday (March, 29). No cover. No requirements to be in the video.  Visit for more info.  2012 Launchpad Winners: The Daze

Launchpad, a unique alternative music competition for Wisconsin high school students, is readying for it’s annual talent search.

The Wisconsin School Music Association (WSMA) has selected 12 area garage bands to take the stage in a regional competition at Chilton High School on Friday, April 5 at 4 p.m.

At least one person from each band must be in a school music program and all members must be currently enrolled in a Wisconsin high school and/or WSMA member school to qualify.

The event is open to the public with tickets ranging from $3 for children, $6 for students and $7 for adults.  For more info visit,

4:00 p.m: Second to Fall – Pulaski and Green Bay Preble High Schools (Metal)
4:25 p.m:  Open for Suggestions – Appleton West, Neenah and Kimberly High Schools (Alternative)
4:50 p.m: Syrinx – Fox Valley-Appleton Lutheran and West DePere High Schools (Rock)
5:15 p.m: In Harm’s Way – Ozaukee and Oostburg High Schools (Rock)
5:40 p.m: Pitch 13 – St. Mary Central-Neenah and iForward Online High Schools (Rock)
6:05 p.m: Jake’s Room – Lake Mills Middle and High Schools (Rock)
6:30 p.m: Rebel Grace – Crivitz High School (Alternative)
6:55 p.m: Sobieski Outlaws – Oconto Falls High School and Washington Middle School (Rock)
7:20 p.m: 9th Hour – Rib Lake High School (Rock)
7:45 p.m.: Granite – Madison West High School (Rock)
8:10 p.m: WithoutExcuse – Mosinee and Rosholt High Schools and D.C. Everest-Weston Idea Charter School (Pop)
8:35 p.m: Country Shine – Fox Valley-Appleton Lutheran High School (Country)
