Half Empty makes their fifth appearance at Rock for Wishes March 9.
The sixth annual Rock for Wishes event will be held at Tanner’s in Kimberly on Saturday, March 9.
The event, which is a fundraiser for the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Wisconsin, will host seven Fox Valley bands from 4 p.m.- close including Half Empty, Rooftop Jumpers, Shaker and the Egg, The Presidents, Star Six Nine, Cycledown and Ask Your Mother.
Guitarist Jason Lambie has performed at Rock for Wishes four times with Half Empty and is excited to return to the event this year.
“It’s just a rare opportunity to get a bunch of the area’s finest groups together for a cause like this,“ Lambie said.
“I really enjoy the fact that for once on the weekend we, as musicians, can all watch the other groups perform (but) the biggest thumbs up goes to seeing the smiles on people’s faces and the wishes granted in the end to some special kids.”
Besides live music, there will be silent auction items, 50/50 raffles and more. Tickets may be purchased for $7 in advance at Tanner’s or $10 at the door. Rock for Wishes is an all ages event.
