During a concert at the Meyer Theatre in Green Bay Friday night, Green Bay native and musician Sam Brooker announced that hip-hop star Nelly will be releasing a version of “Cruise.”
“Cruise,” first released by country duo Florida Georgia Line, was originally conceived by writers Jesse Rice, Brian Kelley (of Florida Georgia Line) and Chase Rice. Jesse Rice is signed to Brooker’s publishing company, Artist Revolution. (READ FULL STORY)

Boxkar in Chi-Town

Last Thursday, Appleton band Boxkar competed in the first round of the Global Hard Rock Rising 2013 competition at Hard Rock Cafe in Chicago and will be moving on to the next round on April 4.
If selected on April 4, Boxkar will represent Hard Rock Cafe Chicago and be just one of 96 bands representing Hard Rock Cafes worldwide. The winner of the Chicago competition will be announced April 22. Boxkar’s ultimate goal is to be the first band to represent Hard Rock Café Chicago all the way to the championship round in London.
