Ohhhhh yeah.

Fox Cities musician Antonio Ramon Wigley, aka Antonio Ramon, will perform at Waverly Beach in Menasha this Saturday (March 2) as part of his Barry White Tribute and Motown Revue show.

Wigley, originally from Las Vegas, has lived in the Fox Valley for close to a decade and seven years ago, teamed with fellow Valley resident Jimmy Rosetti. The two now make up the group Rosetti and Wigley.

Though the two have done hundreds of shows together over the years, Wigley will be performing with some new musicians this weekend at Waverly Beach. Local artists Janice Marie and Joe Scheibinger will be giving Wigley the assist onstage Saturday but Wigley noted this is his first “solo” concert in the Fox Valley.

“I’ve always wanted to do a solo show but I’ve always been afraid,” Wigley said. “It was (Vic Ferrari frontman) Mike Bailey who inspired me to do it. … Everywhere I go, people look at me and the first thing they say is, ‘I know you can sing Barry White’ (laughs). But I didn’t really want be a Barry White impersonator. It just happened.”

However, White isn’t the only voice Wigley performs as he runs the gamut between other stars such as Al Green, Teddy Pendergrass, Frank Sinatra, Elvis, George Strait and others.

“For a black singer, I’m very versatile,” Wigley said. “We cover old standards to Vegas to Motown to country western to pop. We cover the whole spectrum.”

Wigley’s performance on Saturday will include songs from the Motown era, legends of R&B including Jeffrey Osborne, Luther Vandross and of course Barry White.
