Watch: Trailer for new Disney film written by Neenah native

Another major motion picture penned by Neenah native Phil Johnston is on the way.

Johnston, who wrote the screenplay for the 2011 film “Cedar Rapids,” shares a writing credit with Jennifer Lee on the upcoming Disney animated film “Wreck-It Ralph.”

The film, out Nov. 2, features voice work from John C. Reilly (who starred alongside Ed Helms in “Cedar Rapids”), Sarah Silverman, Jack McBrayer, Jane Lynch and Mindy Kaling. It was directed by Rich Moore, whose TV directing credits include work in “The Simpsons” and “Futurama,” in his film debut.

“Wreck-It Ralph” is the story of a video game villain (Reilly) who is fed up with always being the bad guy. As you’ll see in the trailer, a number of characters from popular video games make appearances, including Super Mario’s longtime nemesis Bowzer and “Street Fighter” bruiser Zangief.
