If you’ve ever read an interview with “Mad Men” creator Matthew Weiner — such as this excellent chat with Alan Sepinwall of HitFix — you know that the man isn’t into spoilers. He’s not into spoilers … or sneak peeks, hints or even coughing in a manner that might reveal something about what’s to come on his show.
It’s kind of an odd quirk given that “Mad Men” is a show mostly free of shocking twists, and so any sort of plot-related leak that could find its way out to the public wouldn’t matter all that much anyway. But that’s OK.
This over-protection of information on what’s to come on “Mad Men” is in full display in the promotional materials for the new (and final) season that’s set to premiere April 13. We’ve had a short teaser video, a few photos and lots of talk, yet all we can say for certain is that Don Draper is still on the show and there might be an airplane somewhere for some reason.
With the release of a new video this week, we have another taste. We can now confirm that Megan, Betty, Peggy, Pete and Roger are all still involved, and that they’ll wear some brightly colored clothing. And they may or may not exist in slow motion.
Either way, here’s the clip.
“Mad Men” returns to AMC on April 13.
