First look at ‘Mad Men’ Season 7

UntitledThe beginning of the end is near for Don Draper.

With the final season — albeit, one that’s split and airing in two half-seasons — set to premiere on April 13, we’ve been given our first new taste of “Mad Men.” It comes in the form of a very, very short teaser video that resembles those “On the next episode of ‘Mad Men’” promos that run after an episode has finished (in that it’s no help at all with telling us what’s to come).

When we last saw our dapper anti-hero, he was showing his childhood home to his children. This was a move far more revealing than Matthew Weiner has ever been about future episodes of his award-winning series. In the new clip, Don Draper is triumphantly walking off an airplane and — gasp! — putting on a hat. Have a look.

For those who aren’t up to snuff on “Mad Men” happenings and want to smash all the joy and pleasure of six excellent seasons of television into one two-minute web video, AMC has this to offer you:

Otherwise, the first five seasons of the show are available for streaming on Netflix. The sixth (and most recent) season will be made available on March 30.

“Mad Men” returns to AMC at 9 p.m. April 13.
