For you clones out there who aren’t quite in-the-know, Jim Rome debuted his new Showtime show last week. Surely looking to book some big names for the premiere of the appropriately titled “Jim Rome on Showtime,” Packers quarterback and reigning NFL MVP Aaron Rodgers was beamed in for a friendly chat. (Not to be confused with the not-so-friendly chats Rome conducted in his younger days.)
The Rodgers interview involved a fun little “10 Questions” portion where Rome fired off a number of random questions about mustaches, what’s on the MVP’s DVR and what pass rushers and quarterbacks he most respects.
A preview of the interview can be watched below. And for those curious, Rodgers said HBO’s “The Newsroom,” “Jeopardy!” and “South Park” are on his DVR, Clay Matthews is the pass-rusher he hopes he never has to face and, if he were a wide receiver, Tom Brady would be the non-Aaron Rodgers quarterback he’d want throwing him the ball. (He also mentioned Peyton Manning and Drew Brees, but went with Brady due to his ring collection.)
Those in the Green Bay area also probably enjoyed Rodgers mentioning his days as rookie singing karaoke at Mikey’s Pub. He said, back when he was a rookie and not a household name, Journey’s “Don’t Stop Believin’” and John Mellencamp’s “Jack and Diane” were his go-to karaoke tunes.
